Getting Started
How do I start planning a trip with Korty Reserve? +

Schedule a consultation through Calendly or fill out the inquiry form on our contact page. We'll discuss your travel style, preferences, and vision — then take it from there.

How far in advance should I start planning? +

For high-demand destinations, expedition cruises, and peak season travel, 6–12 months in advance ensures the best availability and rates. That said, we can often work with shorter timelines — reach out and we'll see what's possible.

Do you charge a planning or consultation fee? +

A professional planning retainer applies for fully customized itineraries. This covers research, supplier negotiations, and the time invested in designing your trip properly. All fees are disclosed before planning begins — no surprises.

What We Do
How can Korty Reserve save me hours of research and planning? +

We manage everything — flights, hotels, cruise bookings, transfers, excursions, dining reservations — so you don't have to. You get a seamless, personalized itinerary without the hours of research.

Can you create experiences that aren't available online? +

Yes. Through our global partnerships and supplier relationships, we can unlock private and exclusive experiences unavailable to the general public — guided after-hours access, private excursions, VIP recognition, and more.

What exclusive perks or upgrades can I access by booking through you? +

Through elite partnerships, clients enjoy room upgrades, early check-ins, late check-outs, curated amenities, onboard credits, and VIP recognition that simply aren't available with direct bookings.

Do you coordinate transfers, dining, and activities? +

Every element of your itinerary is synchronized — from airport transfers and private shore excursions to dining reservations and activity timing. You show up. Everything is already in place.

Can my itinerary be customized after booking? +

Yes. We handle changes when possible and will always explain supplier terms and any associated fees clearly before making adjustments.

Cruises & Travel Types
What types of travel do you specialize in? +

We specialize in ocean cruises, river cruises, expedition cruises (Antarctica, Galápagos, Patagonia), safari and custom land journeys, multigenerational travel, group trips, and milestone celebrations.

Do you handle ocean cruises, river cruises, and expedition travel? +

Yes — all three are core specialties. We know the cruise lines, the ships, the itineraries, and the cabins that make the difference between a good trip and an exceptional one.

Can you help with group, family, or multigenerational travel? +

Absolutely. We manage all the coordination across multiple travelers and generations — so everyone gets what they came for and no one has to orchestrate it.

Can you arrange private tours or special events? +

Yes. Private tastings, behind-the-scenes access, exclusive shore excursions, and special occasion arrangements are all within our scope.

Travel Documents & Requirements
What travel documents will I need? +

U.S. citizens traveling internationally require a valid passport with at least 6 months validity past the return date. Some countries require a visa. All names on documents must match your legal photo ID exactly. We'll walk you through what's required for your specific trip.

Do I need a passport for a cruise? +

Passports are highly recommended for all cruises, even closed-loop sailings that depart and return to a U.S. port. A passport allows you to fly to meet your ship if you miss embarkation and to return independently if you need to disembark early. Some cruise lines require a passport regardless — we'll confirm requirements for your specific sailing.

What is REAL ID and do I need it? +

Federal regulations require REAL ID-compliant documents for domestic air travel. Visit dhs.gov/real-id to verify your state ID qualifies. Your passport always satisfies this requirement.

Are there entry restrictions I should know about? +

Some countries may deny entry based on past legal decisions, convictions, or other factors. It is the client's responsibility to verify they are admissible to all destinations on their itinerary. We're happy to point you toward the right resources.

Payments & Pricing
Are there hidden fees or commissions? +

No. Pricing transparency is a core value. All fees are disclosed before planning begins.

What payment methods do you accept? +

Credit and debit cards are the preferred method. Personal checks are not accepted. Money orders or cashier's checks must be received a minimum of 75 days before departure.

Do you monitor cruise prices after booking? +

Yes. We use an automated process to monitor for price reductions. Price reductions will be processed when the savings exceed $50 per person. Note that some rates and non-refundable fares do not allow reductions after final payment — we'll always be upfront about which category applies to your booking.

During Your Trip
What support do I have while traveling? +

You have access to our support during travel. Each itinerary is reconfirmed before departure, and we monitor your trip for any issues that may arise.

What happens if flights are delayed or canceled? +

We handle re-bookings, supplier negotiations, and coordination so disruptions are resolved as quickly as possible — behind the scenes, without you having to manage it.

What if a cruise itinerary changes due to weather or conditions? +

Ocean and river cruise itineraries can be affected by weather, river levels, or mechanical issues. These decisions are made by the cruise line and are beyond our control. We'll communicate any changes promptly and advocate for compensation or alternatives on your behalf.

What about COVID-19 and health requirements? +

Entry requirements and health protocols vary by destination and change frequently. It is the client's responsibility to stay current on requirements for all destinations on their itinerary. We'll help point you in the right direction when planning begins.

Insurance & Protection
Do you offer travel insurance? +

Yes. We strongly recommend travel insurance for all bookings and work with trusted providers to match coverage to your trip and investment level.

What protections exist if something goes wrong? +

We advocate directly with suppliers for swift resolution. If an experience doesn't meet expectations, we work to make it right.
